Shipping, Delivery and In-Store Pickup Policy
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
TA Appliances only offers in-home delivery to anywhere in Ontario, Canada. Additional fees may apply based distance from your closest TA Appliances location.
TA Appliances may provide you with the option to have your order shipped by a third party carrier. The third party carrier will be identified in the shipping confirmation email you receive once your order has shipped. Additional fees may apply if you request shipment of your order.
TA Appliances does not offer delivery internationally or out of province, however we may ship out province by a third party carrier, on a case-by-case basis, if the customer is willing to cover the additional fees associated and understands we will not be responsible for any damages incurred by the third party company shipping service.
TA Appliances may provide you with optional or additional services after you place your order, such as the removal of old or unused appliance, appliance set-up on applicable products, stacking/mounting of matching front load laundry or stacking/mounting of washer/dryer on matching pedestal. Additional fees apply to those services.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES PRIOR TO DELIVERY
You are solely responsible for ensuring your product is able to be delivered to you as intended. Prior to delivery, you agree to:
- accurately measure all relevant dimensions to ensure the product may be placed in your intended location, including the measurements along the pathway to the intended location
- disconnect electrical & plumbing connections of any old appliances or appliances that must otherwise be moved to accommodate delivery of the product in your intended location
- ensure appropriate electrical, plumbing & ventilation fixtures for your product are in place (new washer hoses, rigid ducting, etc.) to accommodate delivery of the product in your intended location. Please note TA Appliances Delivery personnel are not licensed electricians or plumbers.
Failure to comply with your responsibilities prior to delivery may result in additional fees or a rescheduled delivery.
ACCEPTANCE OF DELIVERY
TA Appliances may permit you to provide us with certain delivery requests, such as asking TA Appliances delivery personnel to deliver your product prior to the day of delivery to a designated location even if you are unable to be there at time of delivery as long as a person who is of the age of majority is present and able to accept delivery on your behalf. TA Appliances is entitled to leave your product with any person capable of accepting delivery on your behalf at the delivery address at time of delivery and may, but is not obligated to, verify the identity of any person accepting delivery on your behalf.
You acknowledge that you are deemed to have taken possession of the product at time of delivery, and TA Appliances is not responsible or liable for any product after it has been delivered. If the product delivered to you is not the product you ordered or damaged or not to your satisfaction you must refuse the product prior to TA Appliances Delivery personnel leaving your address but note that re-stocking and second delivery fees may apply.
You may incur additional fees if TA Appliances is required to re-attempt delivery due to your failure to comply with this Shipping, Delivery and In-Store Pickup Policy or any error or inaccuracy in the information you provide to TA Appliances.
CHANGES TO SCHEDULED DELIVERY TIME
If you wish to change your scheduled delivery time, you must provide TA Appliances with no less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice of any requested changes to the scheduled delivery time. You acknowledge that TA Appliances may, but is not obligated to, accept or reject any request to change a scheduled delivery time, and that a change to a scheduled delivery time may result in additional fees to you.
DELAYS
Shipping, delivery and in-store pickup dates marked on your TA Appliances invoice or in any communication to you cannot be guaranteed, and orders may be delayed for any reason and without notice to you.
IN-STORE PICKUP
TA Appliances may permit you to pick up your order or a portion thereof in-store at a TA Appliances store or warehouse location. To pick up your product in-store, you must bring a piece of government-issued photo identification and the invoice must be paid in full (for partial pick-up of order, piece(s) being taken are to be paid in full above the initial deposit). If a third party will pick up your product on your behalf, you must notify TA Appliances prior to pickup. TA Appliances requires you to bring help for loading products into your vehicle. Please note you are solely responsible and liable for: transporting your product to your intended location, including arranging for transportation appropriate for the size and shape of the product, loading your product(s) into your vehicle, securing the product to your vehicle, providing adequate protection for the product during transit and unloading the product from your vehicle to your intended location. Before the product is loaded into your vehicle you are to inspect the unit for any damages and sign off on the product or refuse the product.
PRODUCT LIABILITY
The liability of a product transfers to you at the following times:
- once TA Appliances delivers the product to you
- if a third party carrier engaged by TA Appliances ships the product to you, at time of delivery
- if you have selected in-store pickup, at the time you take possession of the product in-store/ at the warehouse
TA Appliances is not responsible or liable for: (a) any product that is damaged after delivery or pickup; (b)product unable to be shipped, delivered, picked up, or used due to your failure to comply with this Shipping, Delivery and In-Store Pickup Policy; (c) any damage to Customer’s property during delivery/pickup that was not noted on the pre-delivery inspection form.
